I hope that the previous reviewers give Merit Dental another chance. I only got see Dr. Bowen once before he retired so didn't have a chance to know him. I did see two replacements, one nearly made me give up dental hygiene permanently (but she did me a favor when she sent me to Ft. Wayne for a simple procedure because she "just thought it would be too difficult") and the other - well, I have no opinion, good or bad. But now? I cannot sing the praises of Dr. Adams loudly enough! The rest of the staff is excellent, does an outstanding job and always ha. Dr. Adams is incredibly personable which is great as far as putting someone at ease, but he's incredibly skilled at his profession as well. I was fitted for a crown for a chipped tooth yesterday; I already have two other crowns so I know the drill (sorry, bad pun). The fitting for the new crown & placement of the temporary were TOTALLY pain free. Free! No pain! None! I have no anxiety about any dental procedures that may come up. As long as Dr. Adams is there, it will be stress free. I hope the community realizes how fortunate we are and supports Merit Dental!

I have to admit that I miss Dr Bowen too. I am so thankful that Michelle was still there when I had my checkup on Monday. I think she is a very caring and thoughtful hygienist and I would hate to have to find out where she has gone and the dentist isn’t taking new patients. I am very impressed with the newest dentist to replace Dr Bowen. He was very knowledgeable and talked to me with a caring attitude. The dentist before him basically told me I had to resign myself to having pain with the crown that Dr Orwick had put on. Dr Adams took the time to check the crown and make adjustments that I can honestly say has improved the pain I have felt for a year and a half. I look forward to hopefully having him for a dentist for many years to come. The office staff was so helpful during my troubles with this crown. They are all appreciated very much. If you are looking for a caring and knowledgeable dental crew check them out. I highly recommend them.

We are very pleased with our recent experience at Merit Dental in LaGrange, Indiana, in May 2019. Everyone was professional, pleasant and helpful. Our hygienist Michelle is kind, thorough & knowledgeable, and even helped me with an after-hours prescription need, in a very timely manner. Dr. Adams also responded quickly, after hours, to check on me. Thanks to all. See you in about six months for our next cleaning and exam. Laura & Jeff

The staff has always been great, glad to see that has not changed... Sadly, the 'fill-in' dentist is another story. It is important for me to have a informative and friendly dentist. Instead, I was met with a condescending attitude and coffee breath. Hoping they find a new dentist to fill the shoes of the AMAZING Dr. Bowen. You are so very missed!

When Dr. Bowen had this practice, it was superb - 5 star! He & his wife deserve to enjoy their retirement, they were WONDERFUL! But... Merit Dental has taken patient service downhill. The office people are wonderful, they try so hard! But I don’t feel that Dr. Angela Orwick knows very much. The feeling is rushed. The dentist herself doesn’t perform as thorough of an oral exam that Bowen did, she left most of that up to the hygienist. Why am I paying her more for less service performed? I tried really hard not to compare, but when it’s THIS different, it’s difficult not to! Plus, when you have such a hard time online even trying to find the NAME of the actual dentist that works there, you know something is up. Go ahead, try it. I ran a search out of curiosity The business side is annoying to say the least - they don’t even wait for insurance to clear before they’re sending a patient bill. Then the patient wastes their time, having to check into why they received a bill, only to have it paid when they check into it or when they take the time to go over face to face. And they do not accept Medicaid. How many patients did they lose over that stupidity? This is not a money rich community & you have a retirement complex right there.

We've been paid in full for months, then they start harassing my son in Ft. Wayne for payment on a visit he had a year or so ago. We paid for that visit, we paid for all visits and procedures, I can't stress enough that we paid in full! Now they're telling my son that if he doesn't pay up they'll send it to collections (and the account is in my name, so they'll send me to collections). I miss Dr. Bowen!!!! I miss his kind and caring ways, I miss the office staff that would take the time to figure out payment issues and not just throw someone into collections for something THEY PAID FOR!!! Not to mention, the prices jumped sky high and care hit rock bottom as soon as Dr. Bowen left.

If you don't mind being dismissed treated as if you are making things up this is the dentist for you. The office girls are wonderful....the dentist is a ----- you fill in the blank. I've never missed Dr Bowen more.

I have been a patient of this office for many years. The whole office staff are some of the most caring, personable, and efficient people I know. In a small community, you grow up with a lot of the professional people, and usually know them outside of the office setting. I have noticed some changes in the office that are counter-productive to the patient experience. I am giving a 5 star rating to the "old office" I will reserve judgement on the "new" office under your supervision. The enforced changes of staff, products, and services are making many patients unsure and looking for another office. Seems like that would not be in your best interest. Perhaps you should adjust your business practices when you move into a small town, where people know and care about each other. Just sayin'

It looks like you’re trying to reschedule your appointment.

Please call for appointment changes.

Thank you!
