I highly recommend giving them an opportunity to care for your teeth. Never will I go back to Merit Dental and we’ve been patients for years. I had dental work done and called 2 days later for some type of pain relief. The receptionist was basically baffled as to why I’d even have pain. She even had the nerve to ask me if I was grinding my teeth after the numbing. She called me back and said nah the dentist said the oral rinse won’t help and gave me nothing. The dentist didn’t even have the kindness to speak to me herself. 2 trips to urgent care, 5 prescriptions later and I’m just now starting to feel some relief. Never again will I put up with an office simply not caring about their patients.

I just got back from having a new temporary crown put on. Looks fantastic for being a temporary but the amazing thing is that my old temporary broke on Christmas and Dr. Miller was able to get me in less than 48 hours later. Taking into consideration that it’s the holiday season and their office was closed on the 26th, I am amazed at how quick I was called back and fit in the next business day. On a sidenote, this is my first procedure besides a cleaning with Dr. Miller who had replaced my previous retired dentist. She may be just starting out in her career, but don’t let that fool you. She works with the professionalism, genuine care and concern, and skill of a doctor who has been practicing for decades. No offense to the other doctors at Merit ( who all are great), but she is in a class of it’s own. Dr. Miller and her staff never rush, and make sure your needs are completely taken care of. Dr. Miller is truly a caring dentist, and I think she has found a patient for life. I've been a regular customer/patient of Dr. VanderBeek and Dr. Killinger for around 10 to 15 years and have been very pleased with both of them and their staff. At first I was nervous about the switch from a local dentist (same dentists operating independently) to a business with multiple office locations, but I have grown fond of reminders at just the right time via text messages. They don't do anything that's not necessary, are very open and honest about anything they determine - sometimes with multiple options to choose from, and when I've needed a referral to an oral surgeon or an endodontist, I've felt like they've done a lot of research to find the perfect one as I compare notes with friends who went elsewhere.

I started with Merit Dental in Waterford in June, 2015 And I have a allergy to latex and it is really bad. If I get around latex I have a Epi-Pen to help till I get to the hospital and I end up on life support. But they took care of everything. They even had a Epi-Pen out just in case.
