This practice started going downhill as soon as it was purchased by Merit. My visit last week was my last. The first visit after Merit purchase saw the warm towels to wipe your face after the visit go away. Next visit the water wasn't working in the rinse sink next to the chair, so only one little cup of mouthwash was available. Last week the whole sink was gone (as well as there being no water), the baking soda polish was not available, and nothing to rinse during or at the end of the appointment was proffered. Once during cleaning and at the end of the visit I stood up and went to the main sink in the room to rinse with tap water (almost tripping on the hose(s) on the floor). I had to take paper towels on my own initiative to clean my face. The young dental hygienist seemed bewildered at my behavior. She had only been working there a month, so she doesn't know how good the place used to be. I will say that the staff is friendly and I appreciate them for all the years of care.

If I could give a zero I would. This place is so organized and waste of time. I scheduled an appointment, mind you took 3 months to get into. All I needed was a cleaning, And when I come here they can’t do anything for me. They schedule my appointment wrong, and didn’t even care. It was a Wasted of time and lost out on work hours. They didn’t even care, the dentist didn’t even come and speak to me. Nobody apologized, just had the dental assistant come back and talk to me. What is wrong with offices these days.

Went in for a crown with preapproval from insurance and x-rays from my other dentist. Went to Merit Dental because they were $500 cheaper than my current dentist. After having the procedure completed. I received a charge for the entire cost of the crown, due to the wrong tooth having the procedure done on. Insurance denied the claim from Merit. Also had 2 cavities filled per dentist. When I went back to my original dentist, was informed that there was no indication of any cavities or teeth they were watching from my appointment a month prior. Feel like they are money hungry and will do anything to get people or insurance to pay more for.

Felt scammed at my last appt. I was not informed that what was originally Sinking Spring Family Dental was bought out by Merit Dental. I also was not informed of the new covid rules. Besides all the over the top body coverings, face shields, questionnaires, rinsing with hydrogen peroxide, I had to pay before my appt. which I always paid afterwards. I was shocked when I was told $364. I asked for what and they said it was because I had to get my 5 year xrays, teeth cleaning, visit with the dentist and and extra $12 for PPE! I wish I would have walked out of there before even paying because another thing caught me by surprise DURING my teeth cleaning, was that they can't polish my teeth! I had to pay full price, plus some for them to pick my teeth and floss! I will be finding another dentist!

Worst experience I have had. If you have a legitimate dental phobia I warn you to please save yourself the setback of gaining the courage to finally seek help with your teeth for it to all be a waste with this place. If I was able to leave this place ZERO stars or NEGATIVE stars I would. Please find somewhere that treats patients like us with the utmost care and compassion because this place does just the OPPOSITE and made me feel so belittled that I left in tears. Even though they state on their website that they deal with dental anxiety its all false advertising. I will not only be leaving this negative review but also filing a complaint with the BBB and calling the PA dept of dentistry to report this awful experience! Again beware of this place if you live in fear of the dentist because these people are cold, rude and heartless to this condition and just create more anxiety and fear!

Dr Ken is the best dentist I've ever been to. He is "My Dentist." From the moment he injects the Novocaine, with this little wiggling trick he does on your gum, all the way through whatever oral procedure you're experiencing, he does an outstanding job. I have been going here for about 2 years since we moved to Myerstown. I had an amazing recommendation and I have always been happy with their work and procedures. I even referred my boyfriend to go and they helped him get beautiful Veneers on his top 4 teeth because they've always been crooked. Now he smiles all the time, especially for pictures- before he never would. I have an awful genetic gum recession and I always love and request Liz to do my cleanings. Highly recommend this office! I have been going to Dr Ken for years and I fully trust his judgement and work! He is patient, kind and knowledgeable. This fall my son needed multiple fillings and we decided sedation was the best option. Dr. Reiter met with us for a consultation and eased our worries away. Dr. Reiter called us the night before his sedation to see if we had any additional questions or concerns. Irina and Dr. Reiter took great care of my son during the sedation. Dr. Ken did amazing work on him, his teeth look great and we have had no issues with the fillings.
