Dr. Ellefson is no longer my dentist. I have been dealing with gum pain for over two years habitually reporting pain. After seeing another dentist there and getting similar treatment, I went to anther Dentist. The new dentist immediately gave me a root canal and antibiotics. Now my jaw has absolutely no pain. She is also much better looking!!!

I love coming here. I always have a great experience. I had to switch doctors due to a change in my schedule. They made sure I was aware that changing my days would affect who my dentist would be and made sure I was comfortable with that change. They take a preventative approach and make sure you are aware of the state of your dental health and help you make a plan to avoid issues coming up later. I've never encountered someone whom I didn't have a good interaction with at this office. Would highly recommend!

I was worked in as an emergency visit and I could not be more pleased with the treatment I received. All the way from the receptionist that answered the phone and scheduled me, to the assistant that roomed me , took the history of the need for the visit and made sure to get the appropriate xrays to identify the issue to Dr Baker. They all listened carefully to my explanation of the type of pain I was having and narrowing it down to one specific tooth. She discussed my treatment plan with me and offered multiple treatment options. Gave a prescription for antibiotics asked if I was able to manage the pain with OTC meds, answered all of my questions and concerns. I was told of my copay for the upcoming procedure and scheduled to return before I even left the room. This office and staff and extremely efficient, knowledgeable and considerate.

I called numerous places with no issues at all, and this location was absolutely disrespectful over the phone, The lady answering the phone and office manager are a joke!! I was laughed at and hung up on over my 2 different insurance coverages that I have. This place profiles people, discriminates and belittles them! Stay away from a place like this!! There is numerous other locations you can go to! (I hate that I have to give one star because that’s not even deserved) I will be looking to take the necessary steps needed to make sure this doesn’t happen again to anyone else, I’m positive I’m not the first.

They came recommended by my co-worker and I’ll tell you, they were and still are the right fit for my family and I. I had a fear of dentist from a previous experience and had stopped going for many years. Well, they got my teeth together and eased my fears and I haven’t looked back since. My kids who are not kids anymore loved them then and continue to love them to this day. I highly recommend there services to anyone looking for a dentist. My only suggestion as an ex insurance agent, is to ensure they take your insurance prior to booking you an appointment. Another great appointment down! I really need to get my new hygienist name programmed in my head because I love her! She is so gentle with my cleanings and keep me on point.

Merit Dental Kettering seems to have problems with staffing. Twice they have cancelled appointments due to staffing issues. Once was prior to COVID and the second instance happened this month. The problem is that they do not reschedule within a timely manner. For example, the most recent appointment that was cancelled was scheduled for August 31st. This was for a 6 month cleaning. Due to a dental assistant leaving the practice, they cancelled the appointment and could not fit my son in until March 2021. This means my son would go over a year without seeing a dentist. This is not acceptable and this has happened twice. We will probably be finding another dentist that manages their staffing issues appropriately. Until Merit Dental Kettering can effectively manage their staffing issues, I would not recommend them.

I had a horrible experience with South Dayton Dentistry! My insurance changed so I had to change dentist. My first visit was a cleaning. I was told that with my insurance we had one free cleaning a year. Received a $150 bill. When I addressed this I was told that my cleaning wasn’t covered because they did a “Deep Cleaning” that was never mentioned until the bill came. My second visit I had a cavity drilled and filled. Dr. Baker had catch up session with the dental assistant for the entire 45 minutes she was working on my teeth! The conversation should of happened on their own time. Gossip for entire 45 minutes!! Unprofessional.

New dentist replaced Grabeman. My first visit with her and she tells me I need a bunch of xrays and a cap on one tooth which Grabeman said nothing about 6 months earlier. They are a money grab machine and always want to cap your teeth. Horrible.
