More than 630 Children in Need Receive Free Dental Care

Mondovi, Wis. (March 3, 2014) – More than 630 underserved children received more than $210,000 in free dental care at Midwest Dental, Mountain Dental and Merit Dental offices on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, as part of the annual Give Kids a Smile Day sponsored by the American Dental Association (ADA). In total, 74 dentists and more than 260 team members at Midwest, Mountain and Merit Dental gave their time to this important cause.
Give Kids a Smile is the centerpiece of February’s National Children’s Dental Health Month, when the dental health community focuses on children whose families may not have direct access to regular dental care. Midwest Dental, Mountain Dental and Merit Dental offices worked closely with local public health agencies, area schools, Head Start programs, nonprofit agencies, and youth and community organizations to identify children in need.
“Midwest Dental, Mountain Dental and Merit Dental dentists and team members are exceptional in the giving of their time and skills on behalf of Give Kids a Smile,” said Dr. Jeff Moos, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Dental Officer, Midwest Dental Support Center. “We are truly appreciative to our doctors and team members who are dedicated to providing dental care access to all children in the communities that we serve.”
