I can be found spending most of my free time watching and playing sports. I play tennis, golf, and hockey. I am a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Penn State Nittany Lions. I also love to spend time with family and friends and enjoy going out to eat as well as cook at home.
I believe in treating and caring for people, not just their teeth. Oral health is so much more important than just filling cavities, and has far reaching impacts, including quality of life, personal confidence, and systemic health. Merit Dental is wonderful! I had an extremely painful toothache and Paula at Merit Dental in Blairsville PA got me in the very next day! I was extremely nervous going to the dentist but the doctor and staff put me at ease right away. They were so kind, friendly and patient! Everything was explained to me completely. The doctor was so gentle and careful. I experienced no pain during the surgical extraction of my tooth. After the procedure they made sure I was comfortable and calm. I was given detailed instructions by the doctor both written and verbal. The price was very good and they filed on my insurance for me. It was a surprisingly good experience! Excellent service!!!

Merit Dental has an excellent Dentist in Dr Losco. Behind him is a team of very friendly professionals. His office is nice and open, it feels really comfortable to be in there. The receptionist is nice and knowledgeable. The hygienist is top notch. The Dr and his Techs will make sure you are comfortable during your stay and they will give you impeccable care. After my first visit I made sure I got my wife in there so we are both patients. I did this because I have been around many dentists and I know by far this is the best place around. I was referred to this place by a doctor and I couldn't be happier. If your looking for a dentist this is the first place you should try. Highly recommended by me and my wife. There has been a change in the Dentist and I just wanted to add that Dr. Kabitzke, the new Dentist is Top Notch. Very polite, very quick and efficient at his Job and I still give this 5 out of 5. This is the dentist to go to.

My experience was great! My children were both nervous to go to a new dentist, and afraid that it would be a bad experience. However, they both loved it, and were very happy with their experience! My experience has been excellent. The staff, from front office to dental techs to Dr. Barfuss are all highly professional and personable. (The "sisters" Tonia and Paula are great at their jobs.) The office staff works diligently with me to ensure all paperwork and insurance issues are handled promptly with the best possible outcome for me. Dr. Barfuss takes the time to answer all questions thoroughly. The waiting room, office and examination rooms are all immaculate, as is all of the equipment. I'm very happy with my dental care at Merit Dental of Blairsville. Bruce

I called on Thursday for an emergency appointment. One of my molars chipped out and left the exposed root which was causing me lots of pain. The receptionist got me in on Tuesday for 12pm. I was in and out within 45 minutes and the root was pulled. My dental insurance normally charges $50 copays, but they didn't ask for a dime at the office! I am so pleased with everyone here. They are friendly, accommodating, and great to deal with! I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

Everyone is courteous and polite, and nonjudgmental. Also the office is SO clean!! I switched my 14 year old son over to Dr. Losco (he had to have 4 teeth extracted to get his braces, and was really nervous), and he loved him. I recommend if you are searching for a new dentist, give Dr. Losco a call. I am glad I did.
