Merit Dental is an amazing dentist office. I have always had a phobia about going to see the dentist, but the staff here has actually help me overcome that fear! Everyone is kind and caring. The Hygienist are gentle; always double checking to see if anything‘s bothering me. The office staff is equally friendly and knowledgable. They know about insurance information and if they don’t have an answer they will find it out. Then contacted me to let me know the answer. Personally I’m extremely happy to have Merit Dental as my dentist!
Every time I bring my kids to the dentist they always love coming. Never do my kids say anything bad. My kids will even remind me hey mom we need dentist appointments made. Lol. The staff are always very nice and friendly and helpful. And always explain things if I don't understand something

What a wonderful first visit! The waiting room is warm and inviting. There was a welcome board with my name on it when I walked in. The girls at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The hygienist was very gentle, I never felt a thing. Usually clinical rooms are dark and stuffy but the room I was in faced the water. The windows were cracked with a breeze of fresh air coming in, it was so warm and relaxing. The doctor and her assistant were great too. I came in for a clear aligner consultation not knowing I had just found my new dentist!
Bar none this place is the absolute best. As some one who avoided the dentist for nearly a decade and only went back once I broke a tooth I was very worried about going. All the staff was amazing and so kind, my tooth was basically rebuilt in under an hour with no pain at all and it looks better then the original. I've have started telling all my friends and family about Merit and I personally won't go anywhere else.

I was searching for a Dentist in Holly and found out there was a couple month wait for new patients. I called Merit with impeccable timing. Nat took my call. She was very nice on the phone and advised me that there was a cancellation and they could see me tomorrow! I jumped at the opportunity. I'm glad I did. Lynnette took care of me and made me feel comfortable as much as I don't like going to the Dentist. This was different. I was able to consult with Dr. Arban. I’m one of those people that have hated going to the dentist my whole life. I went to Merit Dental for the first time about 6 months ago due to an infection in my wisdom tooth and I was dreading having to go… but let me tell you, ALL of the staff here are so amazing! I just went back yesterday for a cleaning and I can honestly say I was excited to go, which is crazy for me since I’ve always feared the dentist lol. I wish I could remember my hygienist’s name because she deserves a shout out for how great and caring she is! Dr. Alyssa Arban is also so amazing! I highly recommend choosing Merit Dental!

Dr Arban and the whole staff were awesome. I had an emergency on a Friday before a holiday weekend. They were able to get me in right away and taken care of so I could enjoy my holiday. The doctor and hygienist were both so comforting and compassionate throughout the whole process and really put my anxiety at ease. I cannot recommend them enough.

I am a new patient. I was treated with kindness and compassion. My visit was for a second opinion on (swelling gums around) a tooth that I have an issue on and had a previous root canal by another dentist a couple years ago that ignored the problem. I was very comfortable with the plan to get the tooth removed to avoid infection. Dr Sulfaro explained the step by step plan clean out of tooth for bone graft and for another tooth to be replaced over several months time. He was very patient and kind with all my questions. I felt better just knowing that he was there to help me!
Julie is amazing. I absolutely hate going to the dentist normally but the experience is 100 times better because of her. The doctors and front desk staff are phenomenal as well!

I really get great care at this dental office. They really take the time to explain to me the importance things to know about how to best care my teeth and their special needs. I say this because I’ve had some very bad experiences with Dentists in the past which in turn has made me fearful of everyone in the industry because you don’t know who really cares and who you can trust. I was immediately struck by the warm, homey comfort of the office, accented by a REAL burning fireplace that left no doubt as to the personal and friendly services about to be rendered. The location was constructed in 1926 by a local builder as an example of his obviously accomplished skills and has been EXTREMELY well maintained since it's conversion from home to commercial space many decades ago. The community spirit of this business is evidenced by the large, decorated, cardboard box in the waiting area reserved for holiday-toy donations for kids who would otherwise go without. (Drop sumthin off if ya get a chance!) Both gals at the front desk -- Kathy & Kerstin -- were friendly, efficient and skilled in their duties; in all, very pleasant and informative. Hygienist, Tina, was engaging, conversational and highly skilled as her her two decades of experience would assure. She's just the person you'd want to have sticking cold, steel tools between your teeth. And, her breezy conversation keeps your mind occupied as she works. Dr Sulfaro presents as a kindly, reserved and assured professional, exuding natural good will and best intentions; things that many dentists cannot achieve even when trying hard. Not at all jaded or bored by his many years of practice, Dr. Sulfaro is profoundly empathetic and exhibits great personal interest in his patients. While the general ambiance of the office is warm and historic, the fixtures and equipment are brightly modern and state of the art. All modern methods of pain control and elimination are available upon request. It goes without elaboration that the whole enterprise is scrupulously clean and neat. Summary: MERIT DENTAL/Dr. Sulfaro, is the place for ANYONE in need of dental services including the most adament of dentophobes.

Saw Dr Arden for the first time and she was amazing. Julie took xrays and Tina cleaned my teeth. Both of them were caring and friendly. Incredible staff, this is definitely worth every penny. I have gone to the same dentist since I was a child, but a recent move set me in search for a new one. Merit is close to my home and when I called to schedule my first appointment, they were able to get me in the very next day! Lynette was an amazing hygienist, she told me everything she was doing and why, she even gave me some tips for brushing and flossing while she was cleaning my teeth. The atmosphere was welcoming and I look forward to seeing them in 6 months for next appointment. Oh! I also received a free electric toothbrush for being a new patient!

I just have to say if you are looking for a dentist that will take amazing care of you, that has a very knowledgeable staff and who are willing to work with you .. this is the place to go. I have had an irrational phobia of the dentist for most of my life, as I have always had pain and sensitivity with fillings and finally pushed myself to go in. I had staff on the phone with me for lengthy conversations and instead of getting irritated or becoming short they reassured me and made me feel comfortable. I went in and saw Dr. Sulfaro and he was very patient and kind. Stopping when I felt any discomfort and he really cared. Shelly sat next to me and held my hand during the procedure while also reassuring me again and again. She explained everything that was going to happen and advocated my concerns with while keeping my dignity. She went above and beyond her job description and I'm so thankful. I couldn't have done it without her. Without everyone there. I'm so thankful for the whole staff for helping me get healthy and face a fear that has scared me for over 20 years. Thank you so much and I will be back soon.
Dr. Sulfaro and his team have completely repaired my fear of seeing the dentist regularly. It took me several years to finally make a call to come in when I was having severe tooth pain. My mom (who recommended Dr. Sulfaro) assured me he was a very gentle, compassionate man, and would be able to ease my fear, no problem. Sure enough, through and through, his entire team is supportive and comforting, no matter what your process is. Whether you struggle with anxiety about seeing the dentist, or you're completely comfortable, Dr. Sulfaro's crew is definitely for everyone. With all of the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19, I was anxious to go to the dentist and have direct contact with someone’s hands in my mouth. The staff put these anxieties to rest as soon as I got there. Their cleaning procedures, use of PPE, and explanations of new procedures to keep me and them safe was a huge weight lifted off of a stressful decision to keep my appt. Great job to everyone!

I have been with dr, sulfaro for over 20 years. He and his staff have always taken great care of me! One time I had a filling that had failed, he immediately replaced it at no charge so I know he stands by his work! I highly recommend and will continue to use his practice in the future.

I would like to thank Dr Steven Sulfaro for giving me my smile back !!!! I have known Steve for about 15 years from our church , and he would also come to Home Depot often when I worked there. I would always make sure I didn’t smile when I saw him....he’s a dentist and I had terrible teeth. One day last summer, I saw Steve again at Home Depot and knew I had to talk with him about my teeth. He was so patient with me, especially when I told him how much I despised dentists but I liked him as a person!! I knew I would need dentures but the thought of having my remaining teeth pulled caused me a lot of anxiety!! Steve was very reassuring and confident that he could fix my teeth without too much pain and without breaking the bank. After talking with him about 20 minutes, he told me to call his office on Monday and we could figure out a plan. So I did and they got me in that week, I figured Steve told them I was a big chicken and to make sure to get me in as soon as possible before I changed my mind. Steve said my front teeth were in good shape but my back teeth were either missing or in very bad shape. We decided upper and lower partials would be best for me. Fast forward 9 months and after many fillings and teeth pulled, I now have my smile back!!! I am so happy with my new teeth and am smiling nonstop !!

By FAR the best dental team I have ever been to. Dr. Sulfaro is very kind, gentle, skilled and sensitive to the anxiety dental work causes. His team is knowledgeable and efficient. The in-house, same day, crown is a wonderful process and cuts down on a lot of discomfort. I also appreciate no injections for numbing up!! Pain free!! Thank you!

Honestly, Dr. Sulfaro is top notch and goes above and beyond the call of duty. My first visit, I went in with a tooth ache, he personally made sure I was doing better after my visit. He is a wonderful dentist, very talented in his field, and a very caring individual. I have recently moved out of area and seeing a new dentist whom is wonderful in the area and doesn't begin to compare. Absolutely worth checking into this dentistry!

I am one whom had a horrible experience at the dentist when I was a young boy. I have not been very diligent about my dental health. I have paid dearly for it over time. Dr. Sulfaro and his staff are amazing! I put off going to the dentist for way too long and was embarrassed to return until I absolutely had to. Dr. and his staff put me at ease, helped me with severe tooth pain, and got me back on track. The treatments have been pain free, and very easy, even with deep cleaning treatments. I highly recommend them, and I'm so happy they were recommended to me.

I do not like seeing the dentist however I am glad I have found Dr. Sulfaro and his team. They are extremely nice and gentle. They even have a payment plan for those with no dental insurance which really helps us out.
