I've been going here since the pandemic, Our past care was acceptable, but as of mid-2024, the employee turnover has become a worry. Every six months, new hygenists, a new doctor, new office staff. They gave my wife a procedure without asking or explaining what they were doing, and no mention of what the costs would be - and then they billed us for it. Now I imagine it is going to be a hassle getting the money refunded to my VISA card. Sad,

Prior to my exam I knew I was going to have to get a crown. On the day of my exam, they were able yo start the process for a temp crown and a new crown. This place used to be great. It has been going downhill for the last few years. For whatever reason they always seem to bill my family for routine checkups. It’s such a Hassle correcting the situation because there are always new employees being hired. I always tell them to provide the service for whatever is covered under my insurance and for what ever reason I‘m always billed. On a positive note they are nice people.

Hygienists and office staff are great, but dentist and dental assistants change so often, and don’t seem to want to hear anything from patients. Have continued to go over the past few years due to insurance, but at this point would rather pay out of pocket. Too many negative experiences - unfortunate.

Terrible service and very unorganized. Hygienist didn't have correct records regarding recent visits. Even had dates and years mixed up. Had a 7:20 am appointment but the Dentist wasn't there. No phone call ahead of time, found that out after they put me in the chair for my cleaning. Hygienist said she could provide cleaning anyway but then found out it wasn't legal for her to do so without the Dentist in the building due to the timeframe of my last appointment? Instead of offering an apology, another staff member came in and said some things were out of their control and told me to schedule another appointment with the receptionist. Yikes!! Business is clearly going through a major transition. Will be seeking another Doctor.

I have been going here for over 2 years now but today was very upsetting. The young man at the front today be I still owed after dental procedure done and mind you never even knew what the cost was or how much ins covered until after all set and done so now 750 dollars later I gave at least 325 all in this month and was told I had to pay more I stated this was a new bill I would not have made if I knew and it wasn’t a emergency and next time tell the patients up front what the balance or cost will be so then to make that decision and not to threaten your patient with sending to collections as I stated I will pay something on the little 400 monthly as this was a new bill and you can’t make a decision for someone that quick without warning .. and fyi collection now a days in medical is not that serious but I like merrit and the dentist so I will pay but might not be back.

Absolute worst experience ever. For the past several years, every time I went in there was a new dentist. I had an emergency where my tooth cracked and had to wait several weeks to get in, only for them to look at my tooth, agree it was cracked, and tell me they didn’t have time to fix it and I would have to wait several more weeks to get in. After waiting in pain for several weeks, they cancelled my appointment the night before after I had taken off work and arranged childcare. They were unapologetic and refused to waive the charge for the exam which was a complete waste of time. I was told an office manager would call me and I never received a call. Save your time and frustration and go somewhere else! ETA: I did email as you suggested and that went unanswered as well as my voicemail and letter.

Was treated like a child. The assistant pushed the chair across the room into the equipment because they didn't like my memory issues. All of my information and medical history was in the computer for them. Everything has been planned for 2 years now so I could come back, but since I have certain medical issues, I was not allowed to be seen. The assistant could not follow me saying . I had Surgery in February. I had surgery in July. My stitches just got taken out. Explaining that 3 separate times made her confused. They just lost a 26 year customer. I have been coming here since Dr. Russel owned it across the street. I was so embarrassed I'm not going to be attending a dentist again. I spent to much time waiting to do this just to be embarrassed. I'm not going through this again with another place. Thanks Merit dental. For ruining the future of my teeth.

Great staff and dentists! I was greeted when I walked in, and I felt like my dentist and hygienist really took time with me and were thorough. Nicole is a fantastic hygienist. They've done a great job cleaning and keeping things safe with Covid-19. Beautiful office too. Edit: this year they took the extra time to call my new insurance to find my new ID number since my employer and ID card didn't list it. They were also able to give me a quote while I was there for something I needed, priced with my insurance. I'm always impressed at how they go the extra mile to help their patients.

Despite having mostly positive experiences with them, I will not be returning to Merit Dental due to their billing practices. Despite quoting me one price that I would have to pay for a two-appointment procedure (I do not have insurance), they lowered their discount for self paying patients and refused to honor the original price that I was quoted. And they informed me of this change after the first appointment was completed, when I'm not in a position to go elsewhere for treatment.

Went in for a cleaning. Was quoted $0 out of pocket for the service, and this was confirmed when I left the office. The next month I received a bill for $248, I called the office immediately and they assured me it was a billing error and that I wouldn't have to worry about anything. The next month I received the same bill, called the office and they said it was an error. This same process happened 4 times until I finally got on the phone with the office manager. She then told me that it was my error for not calling insurance myself and that it is not the offices obligation to call and verify benefits and pricing with insurance. The doctor and staff did a great job with the actual cleaning, but long story short, I ended up with the bill after being told a total of 5 times that I did not have an out of pocket cost for the cleaning.
