Three Things to Do Before the End of the Year

October 13, 2020

Believe it or not, we are getting close to the end of 2020. This has certainly been a very different year than we are used to. Each month seemed to bring a new challenge. With a few months left to go, now is the time to make the most out of a difficult year.

Here are a few things you should do before the end of the year:

1. Use Your Dental Benefits
Every year, countless dollars of dental benefits will go unused. These benefits do not carry over to the New Year, which means the premiums you paid for those benefits will be wasted. With only a couple of months left to take advantage of your 2020 benefits, now is the time to schedule any treatments you may have been putting off.

You can also use your benefits on preventive visits and save yourself even more money down the road. Make sure to check with your insurance company to see what is available to you, or give us a call and we can help you figure out how to make the most of your benefits.

2. Take Vacation Days
Even though vacations aren’t looking the same these days, everyone should use all their vacation days. Research shows that taking vacation days has a therapeutic effect on your body. They lead to less stress, better mental and physical health, and a decreased chance of burning out.

There’s no need to actually go anywhere for these benefits to take place. A lazy day at home or a day trip to your favorite hiking spot will feel just as good. So although it may not mean flying to some exotic location this year, make sure you use all the vacation days you have.

3. Update Your Contacts
With in-person gatherings up in the air, 2020 may be the year traditional holiday cards make a huge comeback. Start updating and consolidating your contact list now so you’ll be ready to send your friends and family a meaningful card this holiday season.

Or, if you have moved recently, make sure your contacts all have your new address. Our houses may not be full of people over the holidays, but our fridges can still be full of the smiling faces and cards from our loved ones.
