Up until a few months ago this was a great place. When Paula and Heather left it went downhill. I have been doing invisalign which they no longer use, only reason I knew this was because I heard the Dr talking to the receptionist. They were not up front about it all. They scheduled me for an appointment but never actually put it in their system, and are still trying bill me for services I have never received nor do I plan on getting done through them. When I found a new carrier to finish my invisalign with they never answered their phone or called back so I could get my files transferred. Absolutely disgusted at how much money I have given to this place!

I have been going to Merit Dental in Blairsville for a few years now. The staff snd add have been wonder Paula was especially good at helping utilize insurance if you had any. Always got you in if there was a problem Thad needed taken care of quickly. Dr was very kind and gentle. Recently though the company has not treated the staff well so most have left including the Dr. I will choose to go to another dentist. Merit you have done disservice to your company by letting this happen. You had many happy patients that will no longer have the great staff that was there. I will say the new hygienist and new office person are very nice but most go to a Dentist ( Dr) they grow to like and so I am disappointed.

When I used to go to the dentist ,it' was always a fear of mine,NO MORE,I enjoy their kindness and the Dentist there is really Top Notch. They play music,He explains everything to me and I have gotten root canals and now Crowns along with cleanings. I am very comfortable with everything They do. dr. kabitzke is a great guy!!! he's extremely calming, and explains everything he's doing. he is also very thorough with numbing, this is the first time i literally don't feel a thing. even getting my tooth ground down for a crown was easy and painless. the office itself is very cozy and welcoming. he does amazing work and so do his staff. everyone there gives off the same energy he does, so even if he himself doesn't do it, you'll be fine:) recommend 100%!!

Merit Dental is wonderful! I had an extremely painful toothache and Paula at Merit Dental in Blairsville PA got me in the very next day! I was extremely nervous going to the dentist but the doctor and staff put me at ease right away. They were so kind, friendly and patient! Everything was explained to me completely. The doctor was so gentle and careful. I experienced no pain during the surgical extraction of my tooth. After the procedure they made sure I was comfortable and calm. I was given detailed instructions by the doctor both written and verbal. The price was very good and they filed on my insurance for me. It was a surprisingly good experience! Excellent service!!!

I highly recommend Merit Dental! I had a broken tooth and they worked me in the very next day. There are different payment options (if you don't have dental insurance).The dentist was fantastic! He was not rushed, explained everything he was doing, and did a great job on my broken tooth. I can't even tell it's ever been damaged. If you are nervous about dental care, this is the place you want to go!

I’m 64yrs old and I have never had a Dentist with the patience, calmness and warm personality as Dr. Kabitzke. His staff is just as nice. Dr. Barfuss is no longer working at this location. The cleaning staff (Marissa) are still wonderful, kind, gentle, and helpful, but I have doubts about the dentist that took over the practice. I have always been concerned about overfilling "softspots" or "problematic" areas in teeth or old fillings because dentists want the extra income or their ego gets in the way when they see other dentists' work. So after 1.5 years seeing Dr. Barfuss, with absolutely no problems, I somehow manage to get 4 "problematic" areas on my teeth that will need corrected/filled when my last checkup was 6 months ago? No thanks. I will forever get second opinions for any checkup that leads to more than one cavity being identified. I also overheard the women next to me complain about how she was confused that she had so many problems come about after so many years of a clean record, and she was seeing a different dentist prior. I recommend everyone do their research and always seek out second opinions.

I switched from another local dentist in Fall 2018, and so far, I have had examinations, cleanings, a reference to an orthodontist and a periodontist, and discussion of planning for future treatment. My experience has been excellent. The staff, from front office to dental techs to Dr. Barfuss are all highly professional and personable. (The "sisters" Tonia and Paula are great at their jobs.) The office staff works diligently with me to ensure all paperwork and insurance issues are handled promptly with the best possible outcome for me. Dr. Barfuss takes the time to answer all questions thoroughly. The waiting room, office and examination rooms are all immaculate, as is all of the equipment. The facility was very inviting. They dentist did require an x ray that was not covered by my insurance. She explained that it was necessary for her to do any kind of exam, cleaning or treatment at all of my teeth. I did extensive research on the x ray she was asking for. It is not necessarily at all! To education others this is expensive you do not need to pay and over time over exposer to radiation from x rays in general are harmful. Save yourself the time, money and most importantly your health go some place else!

I called on Thursday for an emergency appointment. One of my molars chipped out and left the exposed root which was causing me lots of pain. The receptionist got me in on Tuesday for 12pm. I was in and out within 45 minutes and the root was pulled. My dental insurance normally charges $50 copays, but they didn't ask for a dime at the office! I am so pleased with everyone here. They are friendly, accommodating, and great to deal with! I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

I am thrilled to have found Dr. Losco and his team! He is a wonderful dentist and everyone in the office is friendly! I never enjoyed going to the dentist, but now I don't mind. Everyone is courteous and polite, and nonjudgmental. Also the office is SO clean!! I switched my 14 year old son over to Dr. Losco (he had to have 4 teeth extracted to get his braces, and was really nervous), and he loved him. I recommend if you are searching for a new dentist, give Dr. Losco a call. I am glad I did.
